So, the boys helped Aaron with my birthday things, including the cake. They all went shopping yesterday to get a few gifts, so it was nice to have the house to myself after a week of being the only parent on duty. Here is the cake they came home with.
Yep, they got a super bowl cake. It's the 43rd super bowl today, for those of you caught unawares. No, neither of those digits is in my age yet. Yes, I'm an 80's baby. Not to make you feel too old, or anything. :)
What a great cake for our wonderful daughter. AJ, Levi and Aaron you did a fine job picking out the cake. Thank you making Bethany's day special.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Bethany.
Love,

Yep, you're making me feel old. So, a super bowl cake for your birthday, huh? What are you going to make him do to make up for it? Or maybe you're a big football fan, so it was appropriate?
ReplyDeleteAaron suggested a small cake with Happy Birthday written on it, but managed to talk them down from a double sheet cake with football field on it. I certainly enjoy football, but it's not exactly what I expected. I just started laughing when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteHey, now...It's not everyone who gets a super bowl cake for their birthday! Happy Birthday. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you had an awesome birthday!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your cake, it kinda looks like a little person with lots of green hair and a weird smile. Cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday, friend! :) (and yes, I do feel old).
Yup, leave it to Eastern European immigrants completely unfamiliar with football to decorate NFL theme cakes! I kept thinking it should have been grass on the bottom, and the football sitting on top, but that's not what it is!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great day! Happy Birthday (sorry I’m a little late). What a wonderful family you have to make your birthday so special :). I love the cake!
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment on my blog!
ReplyDeleteNice Birthday cake, that's fun! Where in California are you? Maybe I'll have to read more carefully to find out. We're both from AZ. But one of my brothers is going to school in La Jolla.
